What is Social Engineering?

There are three different meaning of social engineering.
In the field of computer security, definition of social engineering is a way to get people’s important information.
A social engineer uses the phones or Internet to trick people to obtain information. The major example of social engineering attack is to use e-mail. However, this mail is not a normal mail. The mail has payload, in other words, computer virus. The problem is that people cannot realize the virus. Therefore, when people receive e-mail, they click, and attack start easily. There is another attack that tricks people. To request password and credit card information is the most effective and simplest way. People have to put this information to set up their account on the Internet, but, in fact, administrator of computer system does not always need this. Social engineering is the best way for computer hackers to get information by simple ways. so, everyone, be carful!!!!!
